Video: We “Opened” An Original Nintendo Game Boy From 1989
Unboxing something old brand new in box is something many of us dream of. Well, that’s why our very own Zion leapt at the opportunity to buy a “sealed” original DMG Game Boy for, in his words, too much money.
The problem arises when you learn that there was no one reliable method of ‘sealing’ an original Game Boy; some had shrink wrap, some were simply taped, and some were supposedly just not sealed at all on the factory end.
Irrespective of that, this particular unit has been hidden away for quite some time, and, as you’ll see from the video above, this kind of hardware doesn’t always stand the test of time.
