Two people found fatally shot in a car on the North Side Saturday

Two people were shot and killed at an apartment complex Saturday, police said.

Both victims were men who “appeared to be in their mid-20s,” San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said.

Police were called around 6:30 p.m. after the two bodies were found in a silver Kia in the parking lot at an apartment complex near 1700 Jackson Keller Road. McManus said the bodies had been there for a period of time before police were called.

The incident remains under investigation, but McManus said it was likely “a drug deal gone bad.”

Detectives were awaiting a search warrant for the vehicle.

Police had no other details on the victims, and McManus said there were no leads on potential suspects.
