Trevor Ariza Opts Out Of Orlando Restart For Visitation Order With Son

Trevor Ariza has decided to opt out of participating in the NBA’s return-to-play plan in Orlando.

Ariza has been involved in a custody case over his 12-year-old son. The son’s mother chose to grant a court-ordered one month visitation period during the NBA’s quarantine of teams in Orlando left Ariza to choose partnering responsibilities over competing in the restart.

Ariza signed a two-year, $25 million deal with the Sacramento Kings last offseason. The Kings traded Ariza to the Portland Trail Blazers in January.
