‘The state just endured one disaster’: AOC tweets about Texas dropping mask mandate

U.S. Representative for New York’s 14th congressional district, Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez tweeted about Texas Gov. Abbott’s action over dropping the state’s mask mandate on Tuesday evening.

AOC stated how the winter storm disaster was “worsened by selfishness + denial of basic science” and how the new order will hurt Texans “especially essential workers and the vulnerable.”

Plenty of Texas leaders including the mayors of Houston and San Antonio have also shared their frustrations with the end of the order over Twitter.

AOC has consistently been a champion of Texas, most recently when she raised over $5 million dollars for Texas non-profits to help after the winter storm.
