The Spurs release their 2020-21 Training Camp roster

The San Antonio Spurs have released their 2020-21 training camp roster. It currently stands at 18 players with 14 guaranteed contracts plus Tyler Zeller (whose contract will become fully guaranteed if he’s still with the team on February 27, 2021), two-way players Quinndary Weatherspoon and Kieta Bates-Diop, and training camp invitee Cam Reynolds.

12 players return from last season’s main 15-man roster, plus the additions of Drew Eubanks and rookies Devin Vassell and Tre Jones in the places of Bryn Forbes, Marco Belinelli and Chimezie Metu. Also something that may or may not be notable is Becky Hammon is listed first among the assistant coaches, who are kinda-but-not-entirely listed in alphabetical order. Whether or no this is a sign or it will continue to be head-assistant-coach-by-committee remains to be seen.

Teams are currently allowed individual workouts, and group workouts can officially begin between Dec. 4-6. The Spurs first preseason game will be on Saturday, Dec. 12 at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
