The Spurs and the trade deadline

Year after year it passes with little consequence in San Antonio, will the Spurs stand pat in 2018?

The NBA trade deadline is just 17 days away. Betting folk see the Spurs standing pat, as is tradition ‘round these parts. But, to be honest, I have been having fun today playing with the ESPN Trade Machine. For anyone who isn’t already familiar, the site lets you attempt potential trades and then tells you if the trade is allowable for both teams considering salary caps, luxury taxes and such. It even projects the delta in games won and lost by a team if the trade went through.

So, what do you think? Should the Spurs be looking to trade? If so, who would you consider in a trade option? And what team would you trade to and for what player? Let us know your favorite results in the comments.

Have fun and be careful, it’s addicting.
