The San Antonio Spurs avenged their disappointing loss to the Dallas Mavericks earlier this week in a huge win at the AT&T Center last night. The Spurs played great team basketball with excellent ball movement and outstanding team defense they looked to have this game set on cruise control. But the Dallas Mavericks made a run and what was once a 21 point lead dwindled down to just 4 points in the third quarter. The Spurs however are a different team now and picked up the defensive intensity in the fourth quarter and clamped down on the Mavs. The Spurs Patty Mills finally got out of his shooting slump and had a great game as did Boris Diaw with 19 points on the night. The Spurs are looking like the defending NBA Champs and we are finally seeing that great ball movement and great team defense that were dominate in the finals last year. The Spurs will next face the Memphis Grizzlies this Sunday March 29th, tip off is at 6:00 PM on Fox Sports Southwest and heard on WOAI 1200AM.
