The Las Vegas Raiders Go Bust: 3 Takeaways From The Raiders Loss

In a season full of them, the Las Vegas Raiders made another bust in their blown loss against the Jaguars. The loss against Jacksonville in week 9 of the season feels like a dagger to the season. There are many takeaways in this game and season, with coaching and defense being a problem. A takeaway that could benefit the Raiders is that the offense is decent when everything goes well. The defense cost the Raiders many games, with this one being a bad loss to the Jaguars, having their way. Another takeaway the Raiders had is poor coaching, especially with Josh Mcdaniel’s poor coaching. With this season lost, Las Vegas’ takeaways show they need to restart and fire their coaching.

Las Vegas Offensive Bust

The problem for the Raiders offense is the inconsistency with the pass and rushing attacks. Last week the offense didn’t pass the midfield until near the end of the game. Derek Carr led the offense today with a decent 21/36 with around two-hundred-fifty yards and two touchdowns. Las Vegas’ running game wasn’t as strong, with Jacobs only having sixty-yard. The offense could do well, but after the first half, they were scoreless by the Jags’ defense. Las Vegas’ offense was scoreless by the Jaguars’ defense during the entire second half, with Carr struggling. The loss goes for the whole team, with the offense falling apart but isn’t the critical reason. Las Vegas’ offensive weapons tried their best but collapsed.

Las Vegas Defensive Busts

Another takeaway that cost the Raiders the game is their defense which fell apart during the game. During the second quarter, the Raiders allowed the Jaguars 10 points, which gave them momentum in the second half. At the start of the third quarter, the Jags afterward scored 7 points, with a touchdown to Christian Kirk. The game later became a choke by the Raiders’ defense, allowing Jacksonville a field goal and a game-changing touchdown. Las Vegas’ defense allowed over four hundred yards by the Jags’ offense, giving Jacksonville a well-earned win. With the Raiders defense being near last in the league, Vegas going bust wasn’t a surprise. The loss also harms the team’s confidence in their coordinators this awful season.
