Suspect facing multiple charges after high speed chase involving baby

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office says an attempted traffic stop Saturday night on the far Northwest Side resulted in a high-speed chase of an SUV that had a baby in the rear seat.

Deputies said they attempted to stop an SUV on Culebra Road and FM 1560 at about 11:55 p.m. The SUV was chased for several miles down Culebra Road, with speeds reaching 80 mph. The driver was finally apprehended on near Les Harrison Drive.

As deputies approached the car, they noticed a baby was in the back seat. The baby was unhurt and authorities were able to contact his family members to pick him up. The driver is now charges of endangerment to a child and evading arrest.
