Stuttgart’s Silas Wamangituka revealed to have been playing under a false name and age due to ‘possible blackmail’

Who is Silas Katompa Mvumpa?

In one of the most bizarre and shocking stories of the day, Stuttgart forward Silas Wamangituka has been found to have been playing under both a false name and age.

Born in DR Congo, Silas Katompa Mvumpa, as he has been found to be truly named, moved to France as a teenager before eventually playing for Paric FC – not to be confused with Paris Saint Germain.

Spotted by former Arsenal recruiter Sven Mislintat, he brought Mvumpa to Germany and Stuttgart where he has had great success helping the club get promoted back to the Bundesliga and establishing themselves in the German top flight.

Name and age reveal

Born in reality on October 6th 1998, Mvumpa is in fact a year older than previously thought.

The information reveals that this was the work of a former agent.

Mvumpa is said to be glad that the truth is now out and that at times the treatment from the former agent was feared to have the potential of bordering on blackmail.

Speaking after the revelation Mvumpa said, “I’ve lived in constant fear these last few years and have also been very worried for my family in the Congo. It was a difficult step for me to go public with my story.”

Crucially, the player is unlikely to face any sanctions reports Rae.

VfB don’t fear any consequences for the player & believe he will get a playing licence showing his correct name & info.

His shirt name read ‘W.Silas’ and therefore only a minor tweak will need to be made for future seasons.
