On Tuesday, TermLife2Go released a study detailing the most-Googled mental health concerns by state over the last year. The study was released during a time in which there is heightened concern over people’s mental well-being.

Experts have worried about the effects the coronavirus pandemic and stay-at-home orders are having on mental health. The study found that before the coronavirus, people were already searching for information on loneliness, alcoholism and suicide.

TermLife2Go said it used mental health sites like NAMITalkSpace, and MentalHealth.gov to compile a list of the most common mental health conditions, along with their corresponding symptoms, and then ran the terms through Google Trends to identify which mental health concerns were searched most frequently in each state.

The study found that concerns over one’s sex life was the most searched mental health topic in some states. Residents in Texas, Florida and New York searched about intimacy issues. Similarly, states like Nevada, Iowa, Tennessee and Oklahoma were concerned about low libido.

Among the top terms searched in other states were suicide, mood swings, ADHD and social anxiety.
