‘Stated The Teams He Will Likely Join’ ‘Man Said PSG’ Fans React As Haaland Names The 3 Clubs He Thinks Could Win The Champions League
Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland believes that Manchester City are among the favourites to win the Champions League this season.
When asked in a recent interview which club is likely to lift Europe’s top prize in May, the Norwegian international replied:
“I think either Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid will win the Champions League.”
Considering that Real Madrid, in particular, are not among the top contenders for the Champions League this season, City supporters on Twitter are speculating that Haaland may be listing his potential next clubs instead:

If Haaland isn’t coming to City, I hope he doesn’t waste his career in the farmers league with PSG.

Whether Haaland is actually revealing anything about his transfer preferences here, it is hard to tell. Omitting the likes of Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Chelsea (who are the last three winners of the Champions League) is certainly surprising though.
Haaland is expected to be on the move next summer when his €75m (£62.5m) release clause is activated, and City fans are very much hoping he picks the Etihad as his next destination, rather than either Madrid or Paris.
