San Francisco 49ers vs. Green Bay Packers odds and best bet

Having knocked off one traditional NFC rival last week, the San Francisco 49ers get another in the divisional round of the NFL Playoffs. San Francisco vs. Green Bay should be a very good game on Saturday night.

The 49ers earned this spot by beating Dallas last week. I know the Cowboys want to complain about late-game officiating, but they got punched in the mouth early in that game and the 49ers were the better team. They were better prepared than Dallas, who had 14 penalties in the game.

Meanwhile, Green Bay has been waiting and watching. They have hopefully used the time to get healthier, though there are a lot of players listed as questionable on the injury report. Green Bay should be in good form when the game kicks off and they are a deserving top seed in the NFC. These teams met and played to an exciting 30-28 Packers win back in September.

Bets I Like

San Francisco +6 (-110)

This play is predicated on SF QB Jimmy Garoppolo being healthy enough to play well on Sunday. If not, it is going to be very hard for San Francisco to compete with rookie signal-caller Trey Lance at the helm. If the 49ers can run the offense the way they want to, they can build off last week and compete again on Saturday. When these teams met during the regular season, it was a very competitive game, and even though the 49ers play on the West Coast, they are tough and can play well in the cold. That is is the way they are built.

George Kittle Anytime TD Scorer (+185)

The 49ers TE was the leading receiver when these teams met during the regular season. Last week, he was not really featured against Dallas, even though he was critical to keeping the quarterback clean and the running game humming against the Cowboys. I think San Francisco will have him out in more routes this weekend and love the payoff of him scoring. You might have missed it, but he had more TDs this season than he did in his breakout season a few years back.

First Drive TD (+380)

Aaron Rodgers is probably the best QB in the game right now, and the Packers have had a couple of weeks to script their game plan for this one. San Francisco was great on their first drive of the game against Dallas last week, using Deebo Samuel in the running game before eventually punching it into the end zone. SF head coach Kyle Shanahan is one of the best play-callers in the business. The payoff for this one is just too good to ignore. The only thing that really worries me is the possibility of terrible weather.
