San Antonio school district investigated again and other news you may have missed

It’s Thursday, San Antonio. The Texas Education Agency has opened another investigation into South San Antonio ISD. The investigation is a result of complaints that trustees interfered when the superintendent suspended an employee and tried recommending who to hire as chief financial officer, Express-News reports

The TEA or district didn’t respond to Express-News‘ requests for comment.

This investigation comes months after a previous investigation into the school district. TEA sent a monitor to South San ISD two months ago after reports that trustees didn’t collaborate with Superintendent Marc Puig on actionable items, but instead contacted district staff directly.
