The San Antonio Food Bank has scheduled its next drive-thru distribution for 10 a.m. Friday at the Alamodome, Food Bank spokesman Michael Guerra said Tuesday.
It will be the Food Bank’s fifth drive-thru giveaway in San Antonio since the start of the coronavirus crisis and its first since distributing food to a record 10,000 households on April 9 at Traders Village Flea Market.
In all the Food Bank has fed 15,500 families directly since the start of the crisis, including 2,250 at the first event March 31 at the Ala-modome.
Two other distributions are planned for next week: April 21 at Gustafson Stadium and April 24 at Toyota Field, where 1,500 families were fed on April 7.
Pre-registration, either online at safoodbank.org or by calling 210-431-8326, is required for participation in any of the giveaways.
