Samir Nasri ‘set to be AXED by Anderlecht after going AWOL and refusing to contact club’

Samir Nasri is set to be sacked by Anderlecht after refusing to contact the club about his whereabouts during the coronavirus lockdown.

The former Arsenal and Manchester City midfielder flew to Dubai and has failed to contact his employers, according to Belgian outlet Derniere Huere.

The Belgian side have asked players to inform them of their movements and training schedule but Nasri has failed to do so.

Every player has reportedly followed the instructions except the former Premier League star.

Nasri was previously banned for 18 months for undergoing an intravenous drip treatment at a Los Angeles clinic while on loan at Sevilla from City.

The playmaker has scored two goals in just eight appearances at Anderlecht with his fitness proving troublesome once again.
