Report: Joffrey Lauvergne declines player option
The French big man is expected to head overseas.
Per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Spurs big man Joffrey Lauvergne has declined his $1.6 million player option. Reports had surfaced that the 26-year-old Frenchman had been eyeing offers overseas, with links to Turkish club Fenerbahçe. This would presumably signal the end of his time in San Antonio.
In Lauvergne’s lone season with the Spurs, he appeared in 55 games, starting in one, with averages 4.1 points and 3.1 rebounds per game.
