Report: Danny Green expected to opt in for final season
The 3-and-D guard is not expected to hit the free-agency market this summer.
Sources report that Danny Green is expected to forgo free agency and opt-in to the final season of his four-year, $40 million contract. He would make $10 million in the 2018-19 season.
The North Carolina Tar Heel will turn 31-years-old tomorrow. Completing one more year with the Spurs in spite of their turbulent offseason could indicate an intention to finish his career in Silver and Black, or it could be a reflection of this summer’s free-agency market, allowing Green to test the waters again in 2019.
