REPORT: City And Chelsea Both Tracking Dutch Teenage Sensation

Manchester City are one of four clubs keeping close tabs on PSV Eindhoven midfielder Mohamed Ihattaren, according to Calciomercato.com.

Chelsea and Ajax have also been monitoring the player while Inter Milan are said to be the team who have scouted the 18-year-old most extensively in recent months.

However, Ihattaren is unlikely to be on the move when the next transfer window opens. Calciomercato claim the teenager’s agent Mino Raiola believes it is not the right time for the player to move clubs.

For PSV this season, the midfielder scored nine goals and provided nine assists in 34 appearances, and it is believed his development is better served by staying and playing first-team football at the Dutch club.

Ihattaren’s contract does, though, expire in 2022 and next summer could well be the best time for City to make an offer with the player closing in on the final twelves months of his current deal.
