Reason #1 for Spurs fans to be excited about the Dejounte Murray Era

The kid seems to have the right stuff.

If you have yet to become a fan of Dejounte Murray — despite his performance in the Western Conference Finals as a 20-year-old rookie point guard playing against two-time MVP Stephen Curry — then this might be the moment that changes.

The San Antonio Spurs fell to the Golden State Warriors on Monday, which meant everyone was free for the off-season, and any normal person would buy tickets to some island and hang out on a beach for a while. But Murray is not a normal person: he’s a Spur, so obviously he went to the gym on Wednesday night, just TWO DAYS after Game 4, and began his offseason workouts at the team’s facilities.

Time will yell wheher Murray will be the future point guard of the Spurs, but this kid is already growing into a man and it’s hard not to be a fan.
