Real Madrid handed boost as Sergio Ramos and Ferland Mendy ‘are passed fit for Champions League’
Sergio Ramos handed Real Madrid a boost ahead of their Champions League showdown with Chelsea by taking part in full training on Monday.
Real skipper Ramos, who was doing individual ball work on Sunday, has been out for over a month with a calf problem.
And his return for Wednesday’s semi-final second leg could be timely, with fellow centre back Raphael Varane ruled out of the trip to Stamford Bridge with a thigh injury.

Left-back Ferland Mendy is also set to return to the Madrid squad as he also resumed training
Left back Ferland Mendy also took part in the session with Ramos and his team-mates, following a thigh problem of his own.
Madrid’s other left back Marcelo is expected to travel to London — either with the rest of the squad or by private jet — after his availability was initially in doubt due to local election polling duties.
Real Madrid have work to do in the tie if they are to reach another Champions League final after their 1-1 draw in the first leg at home.

Christian Pulisic opened the scoring for Thomas Tuchel’s side with a composed finish as he rounded goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
Madrid striker Karim Benzema fired the hosts level with a wonderful strike to even the scoreline but Chelsea have the slight advantage thanks to the away goal.
Zidane’s side also find themselves in the midst of a tight and tense title race in LaLiga with rivals Atletico Madrid and Barcelona with four matches remaining.
