Premier League announce FIVE rearranged fixtures for January and February with the battle for top-spot set to heat up with Arsenal hosting Man City on February 15… after the holders take on Spurs on January 19

  • Five Premier League games have been rescheduled in January and February
  • Arsenal host Man City – who will play in three rearranged games – on February 15
  • Chelsea will play back-to-back west London derbies over three days in January

The Premier League has announced five rearranged fixtures to be played in January and February, after the mid-season break for the Qatar World Cup.

With a jam-packed schedule in the lead up to the tournament, many games had to be shelved for the new year, with midweek evenings already bookmarked for Champions League and cup competitions.

However, with the English top-flight set to resume on December 26, those matches that had to be postponed have already been handed a date in the new calendar.

City have also seen two further games rescheduled, and will take on Antonio Conte’s Tottenham at the Etihad on January 19, as long as neither side is involved in an FA Cup third round replay.

They will also play host to Wolves three days later on Sunday, January 22 with the away side looking to make a positive start under Julen Lopetegui – who will take charge of his first Premier League tie on Boxing Day.

The other two games to be rearranged both involve Chelsea, and Graham Potter’s men will take part in two London derbies in three days.

Firstly, on Thursday, January 12, Chelsea will travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham in a west London derby at 8pm on BT Sport.

They will then host Brentford at Stamford Bridge at 2pm, as the Blues look to make an impact after the restart after having fallen off the pace in the lead up to Qatar.

These five fixtures have been moved as a result of cancellations in September and October, with Arsenal’s meeting with City initially cancelled to accommodate a Europa League clash with PSV following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Two fixtures have also been moved after the rescheduling, with Chelsea’s meeting with Brentford contingent on the rearranged Fulham clash, and City’s clash with Wolves also moved as a result of their rescheduled meeting with Spurs.

Broadcast selections for February are yet to be announced, but will be allocated in due course, according to the Premier League.
