Parking at Pearl, a popular spot for San Antonio food and entertainment, will now be free on certain surface lots starting now and into the summer. Pearl said in a statement sent to MySA on Wednesday, March 29, that free parking is now available Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. until June 30.

This offer includes the West Lot near La Gloria, the Grayson Lot across the street from the Full Goods building, and the lots under Highway 281, according to a map. Pearl says in the statement that it started offering the free parking during the holidays but decided to extend those hours to offer visitors more free parking options.

Outside of those hours, parking costs $3 on Monday through Thursday and $10 on Friday through Sunday. Guests can also park for free at the Camden Lot. Free two-hour parking is also available at the Koehler Garage, Newell Lot, and River West Lot.

Pearl started instituting paid parking in November 2020. It also converted a free parking lot in front of the Full Goods building into a new green space around October 2021. The conversion is part of upgrades to the destination spot, which also includes converting the “Stable” into a music venue that is set to open this spring.

It’s not clear if the Pearl plans to continue the free parking hours past June.

“We are constantly evaluating our parking program and will keep the community apprised of updates as they happen,” the statement says. “We are committed to ensuring that free parking can always be found at Pearl.”
