Open Thread: Spurs 5th seed in Western Conference

Tight race is on and rankings could be changing daily

The Spurs loss to the New Orleans Pelicans landed them with a 36-26 record, the exact same record the Portland Trailbalzers have after winning their 5th in a row. The tied records place the Spurs as the 5th seed, their lowest since the season has been in full swing.

They are only a half game out from the 3rd seed Minnesota Timberwolves. But at the same time, they are only a half game above the 7th seeded Pelicans. One game separates 5 teams right now. The race it on and only getting tighter.

Tonight, the Spurs host the Lakers who are coming off a win in Miami Thursday night. This is a necessary win to maintain higher seeding. Especially considering some of the teams left to meet the Spurs, the good guys have to take advantage of their opponents tonight.

Cheer on the Silver & Black and GO SPURS GO!
