Open Thread: Poll- Which adjustment should the Spurs make for the playoffs?
As San Antonio prepares to do battle in Oakland, here’s your opportunity to weigh in on what change they ought to make.
It may seem far-fetched for the Spurs to take this series, or perhaps it isn’t. I strongly believe every super team’s deconstruction begins with a powerful first blow. And just as every rock-pounder knows, it’s not the first swing, but the hundred and first blow before the damage is done. In my opinion, the 2007 NBA Finals planted the seed that became “The Decision”. In the same vein, the 2014 Finals directly caused “The Homecoming”.
In order to blow up the Death Star that has dominated the NBA landscape, adjustments must be made. Upsetting the reigning NBA Champions in the first round may see m like a locngshot, but it is doable. It would take the type of playoff series that might only come once in a generation. And Gregg Popovich is just the head coach to orchestrate that sort of playoff series.
Giving credit where credit is due, Pounder Justjwill posed a good question in the In the Bonus comments section this week, and a variation of his question has been built into a poll:
