One team named ‘most likely landing spot’ for Odell Beckham Jr.

Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. remains a free agent but may already know where he intends to head this spring.

ESPN’s Dan Graziano reported Thursday that he was told the New York Jets “are the most likely landing spot” for Beckham but that the three-time Pro Bowl selection “could be waiting to make sure the Aaron Rodgers deal gets completed before finalizing his own decision.”

Graziano added that Beckham “has offers on the table from multiple teams” and that the Baltimore Ravens could also swoop in to sign the 30-year-old.

It was reported earlier this month that Beckham was among players on a supposed “wish list of free agents” Rodgers presented to the Jets before the future Hall of Famer publicly confirmed he wants to make a move from the Green Bay Packers to Gang Green.

Jets head coach Robert Saleh admitted earlier this week he has “interest” in acquiring Beckham, while Brian Costello of the New York Post noted that Jets general manager Joe Douglas said at the league meetings he’s had “some productive conversations with Odell’s agent.”

The Jets and Packers reportedly could finalize the Rodgers trade by the end of this week.

Meanwhile, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler added on Thursday that “a few people I spoke to believe Rodgers is the quarterback with whom Beckham wants to play” and that the receiver could sign a contract worth “around $8M per year that can reach $10M+ with incentives.”

To compare, Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated wrote on Thursday that Beckham initially “was looking for something in the neighborhood of $15M per year.” As Fowler pointed out, though, Beckham first will need to ease fears by taking a physical with at least one club.

Beckham hasn’t played against a live defense since he suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during Super Bowl LVI in February 2022. It was reported this past December the Dallas Cowboys had “concerns” about Beckham’s recovery at that time after he underwent a physical with them.
