Lonnie Walker IV’s relentless drives led the Spurs against the Timberwolves

After three games where the Spurs were hot from downtown, the good guys came back down to earth in a low-scoring loss to the Timberwolves. With DeMar DeRozan out of this game due to personal reasons, the Spurs simply ran out of steam down the stretch. For the night, Lonnie Walker IV paced the Spurs with 25 points while going 3 for 7 from three, and LaMarcus Aldridge chipped in 20 points along with 9 rebounds. Walker and company may have come up short, but there were several notable plays for the night.

It always looks like Walker just glides down the court. Here, he long-stepped his way into the paint for a fantastic finish (and-one) at the rim:

This season, Dejounte Murray has shown incredible improvement in finishing at the rim, and this play perfectly displayed his improvement where Rudy Gay starts it with a timely block and Murray then puts on the burner down the court:
