Liverpool and Manchester City are reportedly interested in making a move for Arsenal star Bukayo Saka.

The 20-year-old has been one of the standout players for the Gunners this season, scoring six goals and providing four assists in 21 Premier League appearances.

Arsenal are currently in the middle of a fierce battle with Manchester United, West Ham and Tottenham for the fourth Champions League spot.

ESPN have reported that Liverpool and Manchester City could make a move for Saka in the summer if the Gunners fail to finish in the top four for what would be the sixth season in a row.

Saka has continued to go from strength to strength this season despite the heartbreak of missing a penalty during the Euro 2020 final shootout loss to Italy.

His performances have alerted the two teams currently at the top of the table, with both sides keenly watching his progress.

Manchester United currently occupy the final Champions League spot and are two points ahead of Arsenal who are also behind West Ham.

The Gunners though do have a game in hand over the two teams above them.

Saka’s contract at the Emirates expires in 2023 and Mikel Arteta’s side are determined to tie him down to a new deal.

Handing the talented youngster a new contract is seen to be one of Arsenal’s priorities by the end of the season.

The 20-year-old, along with the likes of Emile Smith Rowe and Gabriel Martinelli, are seen to be vital assets to help push Arsenal back to the top of the table in the coming years.

Liverpool have just signed a new winger in the form of Luis Diaz from Porto for £50m.

Jurgen Klopp’s side though still need to sign Mo Salah and Sadio Mane to new contracts, with both wingers entering the final year of their deals next season.

The same can be said for Manchester City star Raheem Sterling with the England star’s contract also expiring in 2023.
