LaMarcus Aldridge is out indefinitely due to arrhythmia
The Spurs’ first big free agency splash in franchise history will be unavailable for the foreseeable future.
In an absolute shocker, the Spurs released the following press release this morning:
…forward LaMarcus Aldridge will be out for an indefinite period due to an occurrence of a minor heart arrhythmia. All parties have concluded that at the current time it is best for Aldridge to refrain from play until further tests and examinations are completed. The Spurs will provide updates as appropriate.
Here’s what Manu Ginobili had to say about it at today’s shootaround.

I’m not even sure how to react at this point. The first thing I thought was I hope it doesn’t turn into a Chris Bosh situation where he’s unable to play again. But I realize that’s a completely selfish reaction. The main thing is LaMarcus’s health. I hope he’s ok, and the tests show that there’s nothing life-threatening. After that, we’ll take whatever news comes.
