Lakers Interested In Kyrie Irving, Trade Framework Could Involve Russell Westbrook & First-Round Picks

The Los Angeles Lakers are interested in trading for Kyrie Irving, sources told Jovan Buha of The Athletic.

A framework of a trade could involve Russell Westbrook along with the team’s 2027 and 2029 first-round picks, with protections involved in one of the picks. The Lakers would then push for the Nets to add another player, likely to be Joe Harris.

The deal could also expand with a third team, who would send the Nets another competitive player.

Buha adds that the Lakers are not interested in including Austin Reaves or Max Christie in any deal.
