Arsenal have been handed a boost on the personnel front on Tuesday, after a trio of the club’s stars were spotted in first-team training.

Slavia showdown

Mikel Arteta and co. are of course set to return to action in 48 hours’ time.

The Gunners will get their European campaign back underway, in a crunch Europa League first-leg meeting with Czech outfit Slavia Prague.

The clash, for obvious reasons, marks an absolutely crucial one for Arsenal, with the capital giants’ dismal domestic campaign having seen any hopes of Champions League qualification via a top-4 finish go out the window.

In turn, Europa League glory stands as the club’s only remaining hope of salvaging a hugely underwhelming season.

Saka & Xhaka return

The Gunners, however, will not exactly head into Thursday’s action brimming with confidence, having been outplayed in every manner imaginable en route to a 3-0 Premier League defeat to Liverpool at the weekend.

Central to the alarming display on the part of Arteta’s men, however, were the absences of a number of key players.

All of David Luiz, Granit Xhaka, Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka missed out versus Liverpool, with respective fitness and illness concerns.

But, ahead of their Slavia showdown, Arsenal have today been handed a timely boost.

This comes in the form of confirmation that the latter three of the aforementioned quartet were all spotted back in first-team training on Tuesday afternoon.

In turn, the trio look set to be available for selection, as Arsenal eye up a crucial first-leg advantage.
