The AT&T Center was rocking last night as every fan in attendance welcomed Kawhi Leonard back with a thunderous cheer as he came out on the floor. With the return of Kawhi Leonard, this marks the first time that all 5 starter’s have been on the court at the same time since game 5 on the 2014 NBA Finals. With that being said the Spurs played like NBA champions and returned to championship form in a blowout win 110-96 over a very good Portland Trail Blazers team.  Kawhi Leonard was the man on Friday night leading the Spurs with 20 points, while shooting 8-18 from the field and finished the night with four rebounds, five assists and three steals.  After the game Kawhi Leonard was quoted as saying  “It took me a while just to get my legs under me, get some of the excitement out,” said Leonard. “I felt good tonight. The strength coach guys did a good job to keep my conditioning up and (development coach) Chad (Forcier) and (shooting coach) Chip (Engelland) helped me just with my shots and getting my rhythm.” With Kawhi Leonard’s return the Spurs will be back to business as usual and start making their run to the top of the Western Conference just in time for the annual Rodeo Road Trip.

Kawhi’s return see’s the Spurs return to greatness.
