Kawhi Leonard and Spurs not close on extension talks.
The 2014 NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard and the San Antonio Spurs are not even close as contract extension talks are breaking down and the October 31st deadline is this Friday. Kawhi Leonard wants a max contract deal which the Spurs are not willing to offer him at this time and as the October 31st dead line looms over head it appears Kawhi is destined to become a free agent this summer. Spurs fans if a deal cannot be reached by this Friday it is a very real possibility that Kawhi could leave the Silver and Black as other NBA teams would surely offer him a max contract deal and this mistake could cost the Spurs dearly.
