Juventus ‘target Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus and are prepared to offer Douglas Costa’

Juventus are reportedly targeting Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus – and may attempt to convince the Premier League giants to sell by offering Douglas Costa in exchange.
29-year-old winger Costa featured under Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich during his spell in Bavaria, but has largely fallen out of favour in Turin this season.
According to Calciomercato, Juventus hope to seal the ambitious deal by offloading Costa in the other direction.

Juventus are reportedly once again interested in signing Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus
Despite often netting crucial goals for City, Jesus has largely been forced to settle as Sergio Aguero’s understudy. He is reportedly frustrated at his inability to replace the club’s record scorer on a long-term basis.
Jesus’ agent, Giovanni Branchini, has also previously refused to rule out a shock switch to Italy in the future – and the starlet confirmed that he would only leave City should boss Guardiola decide he was no longer needed.
And the latest reports state that Juventus may attempt to capitalise on Jesus’ uncertain situation when the transfer window re-opens.
Juventus are on the search for a new frontman this summer, with Gonzalo Higuain expected to leave, and believe that Jesus would be a superb addition to Maurizio Sarri’s squad.

Jesus revealed that he would only leave City should Pep Guardiola no longer want him there
Jesus has scored 37 goals in 44 Premier League starts during his successful stint in England.
Due to Jesus’s electric form, Juventus, who were also linked with a swoop earlier this year, appear set to reignite their interest.
However, Costa has failed to impress in Italy this campaign, having made just 14 Serie A appearances before the coronavirus crisis brought the football season to a premature halt.
City may also be interested in bolstering their reinforcements in wide positions, with Leroy Sane potentially heading back to his homeland and Raheem Sterling struggling at points this term.
