Judging by the Facebook live video, no one is social distancing at the new local discount store

If there is one thing San Antonio loves, it’s a good deal.

The new Black Friday Deals San Antonio store, which offers items under $7, opened on Friday, and it seems no one is social distancing, according to a Facebook live video from the discount store.

Granted people in the video are wearing face masks, but not really staying six feet apart at the Balcones Heights location at 100 Crossroads Blvd. And, folks in the comments section are noticing it too.

“I guess social distancing does not apply at this store,” Paul N Cathy Cantu said.

“Wow.. come on people.. it’s not toilet paper ! Lol.. I am glad I am not there. Spread the virus. Geez,” Christina N David Garcia commented.

“This is a disgrace. You should be ashamed of yourselves for contributing to a pandemic,” Michelle Wong Rodriguez wrote.

The Black Friday Deals store in Houston had the same issue with social distancing its customers when it opened that location last October, according to a report from KPRC.

The company said ahead of opening its San Antonio location that it would let a certain number of people inside at a time. In another Facebook video from the store, a representative said they would let probably only 100 people in at a time. It also shows more than 50 customers camped out Thursday evening ahead of opening day.

The store sells products such as electronics, decorations, clothing and more for $7 on Friday, $5 on Saturday, $4 on Sunday, $3 on Monday, $1 on Tuesday and 50 cents on Wednesday. The store is closed on Thursdays for restocking.

If you plan on going, we suggest waiting a bit unless you don’t mind being in a crowd or long lines.
