Jets reportedly have ‘very real’ interest in signing Odell Beckham Jr.

Aaron Rodgers isn’t even on the New York Jets, yet, and general manager Joe Douglas and owner Woody Johnson are already trying to make him happy.

That’s, of course, is not new news. Rodgers’ former offensive coordinator, Nathaniel Hackett, is already with the team and New York signed his favorite wide receiver from last season, Allen Lazard, to an $11M a year contract he probably didn’t deserve.

All in the name of Rodgers, who will need the Green Bay Packers to actually trade him to the Jets if he wants to play for them — which we know he does.

The Packers, per Rodgers, are reportedly digging in their heels compensation wise, though. It’s also worth noting that they in no way have to trade the four-time MVP.

That’s the backdrop of this latest report on free agent Odell Beckham Jr., who has seemingly been in the news just as much as Rodgers despite having not played since the first half of Super Bowl LVI.

Per Connor Hughes, who covers the Jets, New York is looking at OBJ with real interest:
