Jazz Keeping Options Open On Donovan Mitchell

While ESPN and The Athletic have reported that the Utah Jazz plan to keep Donovan Mitchell as they retool following the trades of Rudy Gobert and Royce O’Neale, there remains a possibility that they make their All-Star guard available.

Andy Larsen of the Salt Lake Tribune reports that the Jazz will be “keeping their options open: they could retool around Mitchell, or trade him for a massive haul to jumpstart a rebuild.”

Larsen adds that the Miami Heat are the team to monitor in particular on Mitchell. The Heat also have interest in a trade for Kevin Durant, but Mitchell has previously been a player they’ve been linked to.

Danny Ainge and Pat Riley have had a contentious relationship in the past.
