Inter Milan interested in Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud and team-mate Emerson Palmieri

Inter Milan retain an interest in signing Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud as well as his club mate Emerson Palmieri.
The Italians wanted Giroud in January and will make a fresh offer even though the 33-year old has signed a contract extension.
Inter have still to be bid for Palmieri but he no longer figures in Frank Lampard‘s plans with Chelsea keen to bring in a new left-back. Leicester City‘s Ben Chilwell is an option but they face competition from Manchester City.

Chelsea target Kai Havertz wants his club Bayer Leverkusen to allow him to move to Stamford Bridge this summer but the Germans’ £90m valuation remains a major obstacle.
Havertz enjoyed a brilliant season with Bayer – scoring 17 goals in 43 games across all competitions.
His performances propelled the club to a fifth-place finish in the Bundesliga, while they also finished as runners up in the German Cup.
Speaking last month, Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller remained hopeful they could keep their precocious talent.
‘We haven’t given up hope that he’ll stay with us,’ Voller told ARD. ‘We try to give him every possibility that he can call up his qualities. He did an outstanding job in the second half of the season.’
