How to watch and follow United v Everton

TEAM NEWS

One of the main talking points from our win over Bournemouth was the first-half substitution of Donny van de Beek. Donny was withdrawn before the break with a leg injury, but after the match, Ten Hag said: “We have to wait and then you can make the right diagnosis, so the medical team have to do their work. But it doesn’t look great.” The boss may give an update on van de Beek in his pre-match press conference on Thursday.

Anthony Martial appeared to take a hit to the face when trying to convert a header at the far post, but Erik expects Martial to recover and be back in contention for Friday’s match. Diogo Dalot and Lisandro Martinez received their first minutes since the 2022 World Cup against the Cherries and will be vying for a start against Everton. Jadon Sancho and Antony were not in the squad for the clash with Bournemouth, but the latter returned to first-team training on Wednesday afternoon. Erik could offer an update on the pair in his press conference later today (Thursday 16:30 GMT).

For the visitors, Andros Townsend and former Red James Garner are ruled out, while Nathan Patterson limped off in the previous match against Brighton. Anthony Gordon has been recovering from illness and could play at Old Trafford on Friday. Other than that, Frank Lampard has a clean bill of health for the trip to Manchester.
