The San Antonio Spurs and their I-10 rival the Houston Rockets faced off at the At&t Center Wednesday night. The Spurs fell behind early in the first quarter and the Rockets we ready for lift off. That is when the Spurs went on a run and closed the gap at the end of the 1st quarter with a three pointer by Boris Diaw as the shot clock expired. The Spurs turned up the defensive intensity in the second half lead by Kawhi Leonard and opened up the game. San Antonio started raining threes on the Rockets and that really got the offense flowing. The San Antonio Spurs never looked back and get the win against the Houston Rockets 110-98 and have now won 9 games in a row. The leading scorer of the game was tony Parker who had 27 points and showed no sign of tightness in his Achilles tendon. With this win the Spurs have now moved within a half game for the 2nd seed in the West behind Houston and Memphis.
