Happy birthday to Quinndary Weatherspoon

If we’ve learned anything from the return of Bryn Forbes, players who start in San Antonio oftentimes call the Alamo City home even after their time with the Spurs passes. Sometimes they even come back.

An over stuffed Silver & Black roster will not allow for Quinndary Weatherspoon to continue his career with the Spurs, but never count a good player out. We may not have seen the last of the Mississippi State shooting guard.

In his two seasons, Weatherspoon played on back-to-back two-way contracts. In two of the most truncated NBA seasons in recent history, Quinndary did not get a full shot to earn himself a contract. That said, he did make an argument in the bubble to be labeled as part of our “youth movement.”

He made a splash in the G-League, a likely move if another NBA team cannot capitalize on his skillset.

Wherever he lands, San Antonio will always be listed as his first team. We love our players and with that, we wish Quinndary Weatherspoon best wishes wherever his journey takes him.

Happy birthday, Quinndary!
