H-E-B announced an update on Tuesday which will extend the shortened hours of operation implemented in mid-March in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Starting April 27, H-E-B will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The grocery giant responded to the initial days of the coronavirus outbreak in Texas by shortening hours across the company. Starting on March  15, stores company wide were open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in an effort to give overnight employees more time to restock shelves.

The new hours will be in effect until further notice.

H-E-B was able to extend its hours due to an improving supply chain, according to the announcement.

“Along with our new hours, we continue to ease product limits on many items and customers will start to notice many popular departments reopen, such as our bakery, deli and floral departments,” the statement said.

H-E-B is encouraging senior shoppers to utilize the Favor delivery service, which is available 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Participants can order online here or by calling 1-833-397-0080.
