Giannis Antetokounmpo Says He Played ‘Within My Strengths’ Following Game 3 Win

Giannis Antetokounmpo lead the Milwaukee Bucks with 42 points as they beat the Boston Celtics 103-101 to win Game 3.

The Bucks now lead the series 2-1.

“I just tried to read whatever is in front of me, play to my strengths as much as possible,” said Antetokounmpo, who added 12 rebounds and 8 assists.

Facing five primary defenders in the game, Antetokounmpo scored a playoff high 26 points in the paint. Antetokounmpo also added 17 points when shooting after his own drives.

The Bucks offense also featured Antetokounmpo setting 13 on-ball screens for Jrue Holiday that lead to an action, though they only averaged 0.39 points per direct pick.

“I can make that shot or even kick out. Me and Giannis have done pick and roll plenty of times,” said Holiday, who added 25 points. “In this series, I feel like it’s good to go to it, especially with Khris out. Down the stretch, it’s going to be us two.”

Game 4 is scheduled for Monday.
