Game Thread: Milwaukee Bucks vs Phoenix Suns

Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

I’ve been thinking about who’s going to be the MVP in this year’s finals. Of course, it’s only two games in, and quite a few players could make an impact in the next 2-5 games, so any call would be premature at this point. I think the clear conventional choice so far would have to be Chris Paul, who has led his team to two easy wins by controlling the offense and making timely shots to turn back any Bucks challenges. He has been amazing so far. But I can’t help but admire Giannis Antetokounmpo’s incredible individual play for the Bucks. The really been let down by the mediocre play of Khris Middleton and a couple of downright bad games from Jrue Holiday. Despite his teammates not carrying their weight, Giannis singlehandedly kept Milwaukee in the game until CP3 put it away with a late surge. It’s been a long time since a player on the losing team has won MVP, but strangely enough, I could see the Bucks getting swept and Antetokounmpo taking home the MVP trophy. He’s been that amazing. What do you think?

One final word:

Go Spurs GOOOOOO!! Yeah, they aren’t playing tonight, but you can still back the Silver and Black tonight. Go Forbes. Go Monte. Go Bud!
