Game 6 – Spurs 114, Hornets 94 (11/7/15)

Once again, the Spurs didn’t get off to the best of starts in this game, but managed to come away with a 114-94 blowout win over the Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets kept the game close through the first 2 1/2 quarters, and even looked like they would steal the game before the Spurs’ bench got hot and broke the game open. The Spurs seemed a step slower than the Hornets defensively up until then. The Hornets shot 55% from the floor until the halfway point in the 3rd quarter and finished the game at 47%.

Kawhi Leonard led the Spurs with 23 points and left his imprint all over the game, but he got plenty of help from 4 teammates who also scored in double figures. LaMarcus Aldridge looked like he was on his way to his first 30-point game as a Spur, but foul trouble kept him on the bench for most of the night. He finished the game with 16 points in only 18 minutes. The silver lining for LA is that he looked more comfortable last night, which is critical to progress of fitting him in with the team.
