Forward Keldon Johnson continues his ascent in league circles for his literal ‘body’ of work. In an earlier Pina article, he fetes his version of this season’s All-League Pass team for individual players throughout the association worth the price of virtual admission. Though we know him fondly as ‘Big Body,’ Pina simply refers to him as ‘Kool-Aid Man’ and leaves us with a video of Johnson crushing Miami’s Duncan Robinson on the way to an and-1.
San Antonio has had two players claim the regular season scoring title on the last day of the season – David Robinson (1994) and George Gervin (1978). While Robinson had his way with whatever Clippers on the way to a 71-point afternoon, Gervin’s 63 point output to put him slightly ahead of David Thompson at the finish line was more compelling and thusly commemorated by SI.com’s Alex Prewitt.
