Cowboys’ wide receiver popular bet to lead NFL in receiving yards

The Dallas Cowboys finished the 2022 season sixth in the NFL with 647 passes attempted. Playing in a high-powered offense the Cowboys’ skill players will have a chance to put up big numbers. One of those players is wide receiver, CeeDee Lamb. The 23-year-old will get his first opportunity to be the number one receiver on a team. While he has been good his first two seasons, 2023 is where we are expecting a breakout year.

Bettors expect huge year from Cowboys’ CeeDee Lamb

With the NFL season still two months away, Lamb has become an early favorite by many bettors to lead the NFL in receiving yards. Caesars sportsbook reported that Lamb 12% of the tickets placed and 19% of the dollars wagered for the upcoming season. Lamb’s odds opened up at +2500 or 25/1 and have now dropped to +1600 or 16/1. The more bets that continued to be placed on the Cowboys’ star will see his odds continue to drop.

The Cowboys have 165 targets that are vacated from last season with the departure of Amari Cooper and Cedrick Wilson. Lamb should be one of the main beneficiaries of those players leaving. The former first-round pick saw 120 targets come his way last season, which ranked 24th in the league. It is fair to assume he can push for 150+ targets this year and his overall receiving numbers should benefit.

While Lamb is not the favorite to lead the NFL in receiving, his odds present a good value for anyone that is looking for a good payday. The opportunity will be there for the Cowboys’ number one receiver and it will be fun to watch how his season plays out.
