Chelsea flop Tiemoue Bakayoko ’emerges as a shock transfer target for PSG’

Tiemoue Bakayoko could seal a surprise return to France with Ligue 1 champions PSG this summer, according to Le10Sport.

The Chelsea midfielder, who is currently on loan at Monaco, has failed to nail down a starting spot at Stamford Bridge since joining in 2017.

Bakayoko spent last season at AC Milan and is now back at Monaco, where he made his name prior to his big-money move to England.

The French club have the option to re-sign him at the end of the season, but have reportedly decided that they do not want to pay the £40million asking price.

Chelsea are looking to recoup what they paid for Bakayoko three years ago, despite his failure to adapt to Premier League football.

And that has opened the door to PSG, who are said to be keen on bringing the 25-year-old to the Parc des Princes at the end of the season.

The club’s sporting director, Leonardo, is an admirer of Bakayoko after signing him on loan for AC Milan last season.

Le10Sport claim that the Brazilian has held meetings about landing Bakayoko for a second time when the transfer window eventually reopens.

The France star is keen to make the move and leave Chelsea permanently, with his £40m valuation unlikely to prove a problem for big-spending PSG.
