Cesar Azpilicueta is useful at either right-back or left-back but Hakimi would represent a more long term option.
Chelsea also have Marcos Alonso and Emerson to call upon at left-back but the Blues could also do with an upgrade in that department.
A product of Real Madrid’s youth system, Hakimi is a Morocco international who has been capped by his country on 28 occasions.

Hakimi has made 17 appearances for Real and featured in their Champions League winning campaign in 2017-18.
In 2018 Hakimi joined Dortmund on a two-year loan deal and he has gone from strength to strength while with the German side.
Hakimi’s current contract at Real is set to run until the summer of 2022.
