Bulverde Police Department shares video of wild spring break car chase

Kids enjoy spring break by going on road trips, catching up with friends and family, and going outside. However, one Texas Hill Country police department was hard at work and has the video to prove it.

The Bulverde Police Department shared a video to social media on Tuesday, March 21, highlighting a pursuit that happened over spring break with a high-flying vehicle.

The video opens with a black car driving at high speeds on the wrong side of the road. It then steers into the grassy median avoiding a truck and a SUV. The car then goes full speed off-road fleeing from the police before hitting the turnaround, which acts like a ramp, and sends the car airborne.

The kicker on this video is the police department tuned the clip to The Dukes of Hazzard theme song, which really puts the emphasis on the air time the car got during the chase.

Tiffany Rider knew the police department understood the assignment. “Appreciate the production value, the song is so choice,” Rider said in a comment.

The police department confirmed in the comment section the video was taken on Highway 281 near FM 1863.

“We witnessed this. It was insane. The officers were just on it and had him in custody within seconds of the driver trying to run away. Good job!” said Michelle Hoehn in the comments.

Hoehn wasn’t the only one that saw the chase. Katherine Nicole Gualy added, “I was on 281 while this was happening! It had me shaken up for days, and I’ve been waiting for you all to share about what happened here. Was it a stolen vehicle? Why was this guy so unhinged and hellbent on putting so many peoples lives at risk?”
